CDM
Co-ordinator
Relevant
Experience and Competence
The role of CDM Co-ordinator has only recently been introduced
into the construction industry following the Construction (Design and Management)
Regulations coming into force in 2007. These Regulations superseded the
1994 Act which had required the appointment of a Planning Supervisor to
review construction projects (with some exceptions) from a health and safety
perspective.
Grove and Company acted as Planning Supervisors on numerous projects for
both the public and private sector during the currency of the earlier Act
and this experience, together with the appropriate professional qualifications
and our receiving continuing professional development, demonstrate Grove
and Company's commitment to improving health and safety awareness in the
construction industry and as a consequence of the above, we have acted
as CDM Co-ordinators on many new and reinvestment projects since the Act
came into force - either as part of our multidisciplinary offering or as
a stand alone appointment within the design team.
